ABC Kids, HRT, PlayKids Learning pick up preschool animation Zip & the Tiny Sprouts

Zip & the Tiny Sprouts looks at themes such as resilience and gratitude

Public broadcasters ABC Kids in Australia and HRT in Croatia and global streaming service PlayKids Learning have acquired Canadian-Australian animated preschool series Zip & the Tiny Sprouts.

Produced by Canada’s Tiny Souls Media and distributed by WildBrain, the 52×7’ educational series focuses on early years development and early learning curricula. Each episode features original music and stories that explore themes such as patience, resilience and gratitude.

Zip & the Tiny Sprouts was written and directed by Peter Johnston (Doodles) and Kyle Logan (Hip Hop Howls) of Fade in Studio in Australia’s 2D animation division K Love You Bye, with Chris Bennett (Bluey, Super Smosh) serving as animation director and writer.

Tiny Souls Media’s head of development and production Lacey Mason (Sesame Workshop, Dodo Kids) also worked on the series, alongside Zachary Stuckelman as head of research and curriculum, and Denise Sabet as executive producer.
