Ad-supported streamer JustWatch TV launches in North America, Europe, ANZ

JustWatch TV is available on the web, mobile and TV apps

JustWatch, the online service that helps viewers discover where to watch movies and TV shows, has launched a free, ad-supported streamer in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

JustWatch TV launched on October 20 with content from an initial 30 partners, including Cineverse, Leonine Studios, SND, Altitude, Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media.

More partnerships are in the pipeline, according to the company, while the streamer will be made available in France later this month.

The ad-supported streamer is available on the JustWatch website as well as mobile and TV apps. Its catalogue in the UK includes series such as Picnic at Hanging Rock, Wentworth and People Just Do Nothing.

The JustWatch TV Store, meanwhile, offers a growing selection of recent and classic movies to rent and JustWatch TV Plus provides ad-free access to numerous titles from the catalogue and exclusive streaming guide/app features.

It comes after JustWatch hired former HBO Max exec Quentin Carbonell, based in London, as it took its first steps into digital content licensing earlier this year.

The JustWatch Group employs more than 200 people and is headquartered in Berlin, with offices in LA, London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Munich, Dubai and Sydney.

JustWatch claims 50 million monthly users and lists streaming options for more than 470,000 movies and TV shows across more than 1,100 streaming services worldwide. It provides this data and its streaming charts to over 1,200 partner websites and apps.
