NEWS BRIEF: Paramount-owned 5 in the UK has commissioned travel series Levison Wood’s South American Adventure, made by the explorer’s own prodco Blackmane Media.

The 4×60’ series sees Wood visit Venezuela’s spectacular Angel Falls, then push deep into the Amazon, over the high Andes and south through Patagonia to Tierra del Fuego. Along the way, he encounters wildlife, extraordinary landscapes, ancient cultures, gold-mining frontiers and indigenous cultures. Blue Ant is handling international distribution and will launch the title at Mipcom next week.
