Channel 4 greenlights cost-of-living series Twice the Food, Half the Price

UK public service broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a lifestyle series focusing on the cost-of-living crisis called Twice the Food, Half the Price.

Produced by ITV Studios-backed South Shore (Worlds Apart), it is presented by podcaster Rosie Ramsay and Nathan Anthony, creator of food platform Bored of Lunch.

Sponsored by supermarket chain Lidl, the series provides smart shopping tips, practical swaps and achievable recipes designed to cut spending on your weekly grocery shop. It will air on Channel 4 in 2027.

Clemency Green, senior commissioning editor at the pubcaster, said: “Food remains one of the biggest weekly expenses for many households. Twice the Food, Half the Price offers a practical response to the challenge of providing delicious and affordable meals for families of all sizes.”
