NBC embraces Fey’s heroic Sisters

NBC in the US has ordered a pilot for a Tina Fey comedy about two siblings who find fame after performing a heroic act.

The Sackett Sisters is a single-camera comedy from Fey’s Little Stranger prodco, 3 Arts Entertainment and Universal TV, with 30 Rock executive producer Robert Carlock attached.

Fellow 30 Rock veteran Luke Del Tredici is writing the show, which follows the lives of the two estranged sisters who have to deal with being in the public eye after their heroism.

Fey and Carlock worked on NBC comedy 30 Rock, which ran for seven years, and have more recently been behind Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for Netflix, which is moving into its third season.
