Hostage: Do or Die

Broadcasters in Africa, Japan and the UK have picked up two true crime series from US prodco and distributor GRB Entertainment.

South African net ETV has acquired four seasons of factual thriller On the Case, which explores murder mysteries through in-depth interviews and examines forensic evidence that helped to unravel crimes.

Meanwhile, Collaboration in Japan and Sky UK have both acquired Hostage: Do or Die, which looks at the frightening circumstances involving criminals taking innocent victims hostage.

Last week, GRB appointed former A+E Networks sales manager Melanie Torres to oversee distribution in Latin America, US Hispanic, CEE, CIS and Spanish-speaking Europe.

The move came after GRB hired Irwin Entertainment executive Danielle Abrams to oversee its development slate and recruited another former A+E exec, Marielle Zuccarelli, as its chief operating officer.
