GRB hires Irwin exec for development

US prodco and distributor GRB Entertainment has appointed an Irwin Entertainment executive to oversee its development slate.

Danielle Abrams becomes VP of content development and will work on programming across all genres of unscripted, including documentary series, lifestyle, reality and competition series.

She reports to and will work alongside exec VP of development Erin Cristall, who joined GRB earlier this year.

Prior to GRB, Abrams was director of development at Irwin Entertainment, overseeing live specials for NBC including New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly and The Red Nose Day Special.

Before that she was director of development at Asylum Entertainment, working on series for Discovery, MTV, History, Oxygen and WE tv, among others.

Cristall joined GRB in March having previously served as senior VP of development at Bunim/Murray Productions. Her credits include Lifetime’s Project Runway All-Stars.

GRB is behind unscripted shows including Intervention for A&E and Untold Stories of the ER for TLC. It has also moved into scripted with teen comedy Bad Night for Netflix and Vimeo.
