This week on C21FM we heard from HBO and HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys about his programming strategy for the US premium cablenet and its streamer into 2021. In addition, writer Russell T Davies and Red Production Company founder Nicola Shindler discussed It’s a Sin, a new drama for the UK’s Channel 4 and HBO Max.

We also spoke to Sky Studios chief content officer Jane Millichip about how the firm has navigated 2020, continued to invest in original series and its strategy for the coming year, while the team behind new Sky Deutschland haunted house drama Hausen explain how it harks back to classic German cinematic horror.

The C21FM Weekly Review Show also includes TV drama executives Elly Vervloet at Flemish pubcaster VRT, Brigitte Dithard of Germany’s SWR, Suzanne Kunzeler from Dutch network NPO and Belgian producer Helen Perquy talking about the European Broadcasting Union’s Drama Initiative and its first project: a series about a virus outbreak conceived before Covid-19.

Rounding out the week’s interviews are showrunner Sheri Elwood, Yellow Bird producer Georgie Mathew, producer Charlotte Surtees and Film London and British Film Commission CEO Adrian Wootton, who spoke about producing in a post-pandemic world.

All of this, together with a mix of music to keep you sane. Thanks for listening.
