ZDF, Viasat, RTS among latest buyers of Studio TF1’s Drugged and Abused: No More Shame

Drugged and Abused: No More Shame was inspired by the Gisèle Pelicot scandal

Germany’s ZDF, Viasat in CEE and RTS in French-speaking Switzerland are among the latest broadcasters to acquire Studio TF1’s documentary Drugged and Abused: No More Shame.

The 1×90’ doc follows French rape and drug abuse victim Gisèle Pelicot’s daughter Caroline Darian, who has fought to raise awareness of the role of drugs in sexual assault since the crimes against her mother were exposed.

LCP in France, SIC in Portugal and Taiwan’s PTS are also new buyers of the doc, with other recent acquisitions coming from Sweden’s SVT and SRF in German-speaking Switzerland.

Overall, the doc has sold to over 100 markets, with Austria’s ORF, Finland’s YLE, Belgium’s RTBF and VRT, Canada’s French-language Radio-Canada and Spain’s Movistar picking it up earlier this year.

Drugged and Abused: No More Shame was commissioned by France Télévisions’ France 2 and produced by Studio TF1’s CAPA.
