Viaplay puts Verstappen doc series on starting grid

Max Verstappen – Off the Beaten Track

NEWS BRIEF: Scandinavian streaming service Viaplay has commissioned original documentary series Max Verstappen – Off the Beaten Track, about the Dutch Formula 1 driver, from Banijay-owned prodco Scenery.

The Amsterdam-based firm will work with director Nick Hoedeman on the 3×30’ factual series, which follows last year’s documentary Max Verstappen – Anatomy of a Champion. The news follows Banijay’s recent launch of Banijay Sports, which signalled its ambitions to grow across sport, documentary and digital, via new partnerships, content investments and M&As.
