TV5Monde, Hop! and YLE shop for kids’ animation at Banijay

Hop!, ViuTVsix and YLE licensed Stan & Gran

French-language broadcaster TV5Monde and Finnish pubcaster YLE are among the latest networks to have picked up animated children’s programming from Banijay Kids & Family.

YLE has acquired Stan & Gran, as have Hop! in Israel and Hong Kong’s ViuTVsix. TV5Monde has taken Totally Spies! for multiple territories, with Studio Hayato in Taiwan and Kartoon Studios in the US and Canada also acquiring it.

TV5Monde and Studio Hayato have also acquired seasons from the Once Upon a Time… franchise, along with AB Svensk Filmindustri in the Nordics and Mediawan Thematics’ Mangas in France and select French-speaking territories.

In the third-party content space, Welsh-language pubcaster S4C has acquired various seasons of Moominvalley, as well as Piripenguins. The latter has additionally been picked up by Mediacorp in Singapore, TG4’s Cúla4 in Ireland and ViuTVsix.

Elsewhere, Banijay has secured some in-flight deals, including select seasons of Once Upon a Time… with FVS Entertainment and Touch Inflight, Totally Spies! with FVS Entertainment and Aeroplay, and Moominvalley with Touch Inflight, Anuvu and Images In Motion.
