We also heard from Lanita Ririnui, content commissioner at Māori Television in New Zealand, about the indigenous broadcaster’s efforts to help revitalise Māori culture, and from Rachel Antony, CEO of Border Patrol prodco Greenstone TV, about the Kiwi outfit’s scripted push.

The C21FM Weekly Review Show also includes a chat with Love Nature global general manager Carlyn Staudt about the natural history multiplatform’s growing interest in AVoD and its commissioning strategy, and from Jin Woo Hwang, founder of South Korean formats specialist Something Special, about the market’s untapped potential.

Rounding out the week’s interviews are Alan Griffiths, founder of UK prodco World Media Rights, and Ralf Ruckauer, VP of unscripted content at Germany’s ZDF Enterprises, speaking about Netflix docudrama The Lost Pirate Kingdom and the use of dramatic techniques to give factual programming broader appeal.

All of this, together with a mix of music to keep you sane. Thanks for listening.
