Sutikki names DHX alum for UK launch

The fledgling kids and family division of Bob’s Burgers producer Bento Box Entertainment has opened its first office in Europe, tapping the former commercial director of DHX Media to run it.

Stephen Gould

Sutikki, which launched in October 2016, will open a UK division in London in the summer.

It has appointed Stephen Gould from DHX Media-owned licensing agency Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) to lead the UK office and take on the new role of territory head for the UK and EMEA.

Gould’s initial focus will be on growing licensing opportunities for Moon & Me, the children’s TV series created by Andrew Davenport (Teletubbies) and produced by Sutikki for CBeebies in the UK.

The exec has previously worked for companies such as Hit Entertainment, Zodiak Entertainment, Ragdoll Worldwide and DHX Media, where he was commercial director, prior to moving to CPLG in 2014.

“In addition to being a fellow Ragdoll alumnus, Stephen has a raft of experience and an enviable pedigree within the licensing industry,” said Sutikki co-founder Andrew Kerr.

“Sutikki was founded to be an international venture and the opening of our first European office formalises our commitment to being a full-service, worldwide business less than six months from our launch.”
