Super Punchy Studios makes microdrama Step by Step available on TikTok

Nicole Mattox and Seth Edeen feature in Step by Step

Vertical drama producer Super Punchy Studios has launched its microdrama Step by Step on social video giant TikTok.

Step by Step was made available for free on TikTok this month, having launched in May on Super Punchy’s SuperPunchyApp, which requires users to pay to watch it.

Starring Nicole Mattox and Seth Edeen, the vertical drama is directed by Salvador Paskowitz (The Age of Adaline) and written by Halo Gracey and Kristin Paskowitz.

Screenwriter and director Paskowitz and business partner Timothy ‘Timo’ Nelligan founded Super Punchy Studios in January to focus on mobile-first entertainment amid the microdrama boom.

“From the beginning, our plan was to launch Step by Step exclusively on the Super Punchy app and then expand to additional platforms that could introduce the series to a much larger audience,” said Nelligan.

“We believe premium vertical storytelling can thrive across multiple distribution models and bringing Step by Step to TikTok is an exciting next step in that strategy, allowing us to take what we’ve built beyond the walls of our own app and introduce the series to audiences around the world.”
