South Park heads north

Iconic adult toon South Park will launch in Norway this year, after MTV Networks International (MTVNI) closed a deal for all seasons of the show. The distributor has also made sales in Central and Eastern Europe.

TV2 in Norway has acquired the Comedy Central animation, while deals have been closed with Albania’s Digitalb channel for seasons 4 and 5 of The Hills, which MTVNI described as a “scripted reality” show, and Laguna Beach spin-off The City, which launched at MipTV.

Top Channel in Albania has also acquired three seasons of Comedy Central’s Drawn Together to air in the market from this year. Meanwhile, Channel B92 in Serbia and Montenegro has re-licensed multiple seasons of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and two seasons of South Park.
