Serial Maven Studios picks up int’l rights to HGTV Canada’s Small Town Escapes

Small Town Escapes with Colin & Justin with debut at Sunny Side

Toronto-based distribution outfit Serial Maven Studios has picked up the international distribution rights to Small Town Escapes with Colin & Justin, a lifestyle and real estate series commissioned by HGTV Canada.

The 20×30’ series, produced by Ocean Entertainment, follows the veteran presenting pair as they help homebuyers looking to escape big-city life for a move to small-town paradise.

Serial Maven, which is led by CEO Solange Attwood, will present the project to international buyers at Sunny Side of the Doc next month and is handling licensing and distribution outside of the commissioning territories.

The show joins Serial Maven’s fast-growing distribution slate, which also includes 50,000 First Dates: A True Story,  animated children’s series Chums and a factual series that goes inside Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Small Town Escapes with Colin & Justin is executive produced by Johanna Eliot, with Christle Leonard serving as series producer and Cheryl Zalameda directing.
