S4C appoints Rondo exec as sports commissioner

NEWS BRIEF: Welsh-language pubcaster S4C has appointed Seiriol Dawes-Hughes, exec producer of the channel’s flagship football programme Sgorio, as its new sports commissioner.

Dawes-Hughes has worked at Rondo Media, the company that produces Sgorio, for 18 years, initially joining as a researcher before becoming a producer, director and department head. At S4C he replaces Sue Butler, who is stepping down after 12 years. The two will work together during the transition period, expected to take place later this year.
