RX France cancels Mip London after two editions, unveils London Book Fair events

MipLondon was intended to replace the cancelled MipTV

Event organiser RX France confirmed on Wednesday that Mip London will not return for a third edition and will be replaced by a series of conferences held in parallel with the London Book Fair.

Launched in 2025 as a replacement for the also cancelled MipTV, Mip London was held in parallel with the London TV Screenings.

RX France decided not to continue with the event and will instead launch Mip Talks, a two-day conference series that will take place alongside the London Book Fair, which it also organises.

“The boundaries of entertainment have practically disappeared,” explained Lucy Smith, director of the entertainment division of RX France, in a statement.

“IP can come from anywhere, audiences don’t think in terms of sectors, and an idea can travel further and faster than ever before. Mip has always sought to understand where the entertainment business is headed. Mip Talks at London Book Fair takes that curiosity even further, bringing together the people who are defining what breaks through, how fandom is built and where new global businesses are emerging.”

Emma Lowe, director of London Book Fair, added: “London Book Fair is delighted to be working in partnership with the brilliant team at Mip Talks to bring our fantastic worlds together, where stories are created, curated and set out in search of ever more fans, more audiences and more homes.”

Mip Talks will be held on March 16 and 17, 2027 at Excel London.
