Romania’s Kanal D adapts WBITVP quiz format The Final Circle

The Final Circle debuted on France’s TF1

MIPCOM: Romania’s Dogan Media has commissioned a local version of Warner Bros format The Final Circle for its Kanal D network.

Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) revealed at Mipcom that Romania is the third territory to commission the format, originally created by France’s Satisfaction.

In The Final Circle, 50 contestants step onto the outer ring of a 360-degree arena, with the host in the centre. Their goal is to survive the round and move inward, answering questions that test every part of their brain: logic, memory, language, calculation, visual and spatial skills.

The format launched on France’s TF1 in June 2025 as Le Dernier Cercle and quickly returned for a second season. Celebrities joined contestants for a third season in summer 2026.

Germany became the first international market to adapt the format when Sat.1 launched Wer ist Deutschlands Superhirn?, hosted by Jörg Pilawa, in August 2026.

Reema Patel, director of formats at WBITVP, brokered the deal.
