Passion Distribution deals deliver UK programming packages after Asia TV Forum

Escape to the Farm with Kate Humble

Buyers in Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Singapore have all purchased content from London’s Passion Distribution following last week’s Asia TV Forum (ATF).

Cineplex in Thailand has acquired a 95-hour package of programming including rural lifestyle series Escape to the Farm with Kate Humble (13×60’), documentary series The Great Plague (3×60’) and three-part magic special Dynamo: Beyond Belief (3×60’).

In Japan, broadcaster Nippon has picked up select episodes from a range of titles, including extreme weather documentary series Strangest Weather on Earth seasons 1 and 3 (12×30’ + 8×60’), award-winning current affairs strand Unreported World season 23 (8×30’), popular factual series Fare Dodgers (4×60’) and Secrets of Royal Travel (2×60’). Also in Japan, NHK has acquired Big Ben: Saving the World’s Most Famous Clock episode three (1×60’).

PCCW in Hong Kong has acquired a 15-hour package including documentary series 1000 Years of History (6×120’), which includes episodes tracing the histories of America, China and Scotland. Radio Television Hong Kong has picked up documentary series Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over season two (6×60’) which sees Dooley spend a weekend with a range of extraordinary families.

In the Philippines, SVoD platform Discovery+ has picked up over 100 hours of reality content, including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 1 (8×60’) and RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under (8×60’).

In Singapore, national network Mediacorp has licensed factual entertainment series Weather Gone Viral season four (8×60’) and Heroes and Survivors season two (8×60’).

Finally, Tech TV Asia has licensed factual entertainment competition series The Customer is Always Right season 2 (15×60’).
