Paramount TV Studios signs overall deal with Yellowjackets creators

Yellowjackets was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson

Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, creators of the Showtime survival drama Yellowjackets, have signed an overall deal with Paramount TV Studios.

The agreement sees the writers and showrunners stay within the Paramount ecosystem, after previously being under an overall pact with Showtime.

With the new deal, Lyle and Nickerson will develop and produce series for Paramount TV Studios, which is led by president Matt Thunell.

The announcement of the new agreement comes just before production commences on the fourth and final season of Yellowjackets. The pair will continue to serve as showrunners on the series, which follows a girls’ soccer team after their plane crash lands in the Ontario wilderness.

Other creatives under overall deals with Paramount TV Studios include Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, Liz Tigelaar and Issa Rae.

“We are thrilled to expand our long-standing creative partnership with Ashley and Bart, who are singular, fearless, and groundbreaking storytellers,” said Thunell.

“We look forward to supporting them making many epic stories to come.”
