OTTera, Blue Pictures launch Nollywood FAST channel

NEWS BRIEF: Digital content distributor OTTera has partnered with Nigerian distribution and production company Blue Pictures to launch a free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel dedicated to Nollywood films and series.

The FAST channel, called AVAZ and headed by Blue Pictures founder Joy Efe Odiete, is currently available on Hisense TV and Vidaa TV in South Africa, and on streaming platform AfrolandTV. It will also launch across connected TV platforms in South Africa. “This partnership represents our continued commitment to expanding access to premium African content through innovative FAST channel distribution,” said Stephen L Hodge, CEO of OTTera.
