Nick Jr shows Kiva Can Do! attitude

Kavaleer Productions’ Kiva Can Do! follows a young inventor

Nickelodeon International has greenlit a second season of Kiva Can Do!, the animated preschool series from Irish producer Kavaleer Productions.

The second 52×11′ season will air on Nick Jr’s international channels in 2019, following a deal with distributor Lacey Entertainment.

It will air in territories including Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines for both pay and free TV.

Meanwhile, on pay TV, it will air in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Africa, Latin America, South-East Asia, India, South Korea, Israel and Arabic-speaking MENA.

The series follows the adventures of Kiva, a seven-year-old inventor, and was created by Dublin-based studio Kavaleer Productions’ CEO Andrew Kavanagh and is executive produced by MD Gary Timpson.

“Kiva Can Do! is a charming series with positive pro-social- and STEM-themed stories that are characterised by warmth and cheerful fun that reflects the highly imaginative play patterns of children around the world,” said Lacey.

The series is funded in part by the Irish Film Board, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, the Section 481 Tax credit and Irish pubcaster RTÉ. The series was developed with the assistance of Creative Europe.
