New president for ITV Studios America

In another move to upgrade its US operations, ITV has hired the president of Dick Clark Productions to head Los Angeles-based production unit ITV Studios America.

Orly Adelson

Orly Adelson will serve as president of ITV Studios America, effectively taking over from Paul Buccieri, who earlier this month was named president and CEO of the newly formed ITV Studios US Group (as well as managing director of ITV Studios International).

The US Group encompasses ITV Studios America together with Gurney Productions, High Noon Entertainment and Thinkfactory Media.

For the past five years, well-known producer Adelson has been overseeing Dick Clark projects such as So You Think You Can Dance?, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest and the Golden Globe Awards.

In a statement, Buccieri described Adelson as “a talented and seasoned executive who will make a great addition to the team.”

“Orly is the perfect blend of both creative and commercial and has an impressive track record with some of the top brands on television. I’m confident that she will continue building on the success of ITV Studios America, which is a key component to our international operation, and take the business into its next level of growth.”
