Netflix renews Too Hot To Handle, The Empress

The German version of dating reality series Too Hot To Handle

NEWS BRIEF: Netflix in Germany has renewed its local adaptation of dating format Too Hot To Handle and is also giving a second season to historical drama Die Kaiserin (The Empress).

Katja Hofem, VP of content for DACH at Netflix, revealed the news at the ANGA COM media summit in Germany. The German version of Fremantle’s Too Hot To Handle is produced by UFA Show & Factual and its success prompted Netflix to also commission a German version of Love Is Blind, as Liebe macht blind. Production on season two of Die Kaiserin will start imminently.
