Mediaset Spain picks up reality show Tempting Fortune from Cineflix Rights

MIPCOM: Mediaset in Spain has teamed up with Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) Spain to produce a local version of Tempting Fortune, a competition and adventure format created by the UK’s Voltage TV and distributed internationally by Cineflix Rights.

The adaptation will bring together 12 participants who will have to complete an expedition in the middle of the wilderness with a prize of €300,000 at stake. The format sees contestants constantly facing temptations, from small comforts to luxuries, that will allow them to alleviate the difficulties of the journey. The mechanics are designed to test both the physical and psychological resistance of the participants and their ability to put collective interest before their individual desires.

Created by Voltage and distributed by Cineflix Rights, Tempting Fortune has already been produced in the UK, Italy, Norway, Mexico, Greece and Romania, and has been optioned in more than a dozen territories. The original British version, broadcast by Channel 4, has three seasons, while the versions of Sky Italia, NRK in Norway and TV Azteca in Mexico have reached two seasons each.
