Magilla Entertainment and ex-WWE star Adam Scherr roll out Meat Castle Media

US-based unscripted prodco Magilla Entertainment has launched new outfit Meat Castle Media (MCM), a joint venture with former professional wrestler and Everything on the Menu host Adam Scherr.

The deal marks Magilla’s first talent-led venture, pairing the company’s development and production infrastructure with Scherr and Nick Antonicelli’s creative vision and growing footprint in television.

MCM will be run by Scherr – who wrestled under the name Braun Strowman in the WWE between 2013 and 2021 – and producing partner Antonicelli, in partnership with Magilla.

The new JV will work alongside Magilla’s chief development officer Kevin Duncan to create new unscripted series, formats and podcasts spanning craft, competition and celebrity interviews.

MCM’s inaugural content slate includes Hands On, which sees Scherr try his hand at a unique craft in each episode, a celebrity interview podcast and a competition format set in the world of miniature model making.

Connecticut-headquartered Magilla is behind unscripted shows such as O’ahu Shores (Peacock), Who Hired the Hitman? (ID), Moonshiners (Discovery) and Long Island Medium (TLC).
