Longstanding BBC Studios exec Beth Anderson exits New York role

New York-based sales and distribution executive Beth Anderson has left her post at BBC Studios (BBCS).

Anderson, who served as senior VP of sales planning for BBCS’s global content studio, announced her departure on LinkedIn, revealing her position had been “closed.” She did not disclose her next moves, saying that “what comes next is for another day.”

Her exit follows a string of high-profile departures at BBCS’s New York office, with Rebecca Glashow, who served as CEO of BBC Global Media & Streaming, leaving last September and president of global content sales Janet Brown leaving in January after declining to relocate to London.

Anderson spent almost 20 years with the BBC (aside from a one-year stint with Sony Digital Audio Disc Corporation from 2017 to 2018) and played a key role in BBCS’s digital growth in North America, holding roles including general manager of free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels and senior VP/GM of FAST channels and VoD sales.

BBCS’s North American FAST and AVoD business has been led by Sarah Shriver since last year.
