In her new role, Wills will lead the creative development of new projects for Mexico, Latin America and the international market.

The production company behind titles such as Pedro Páramo, Cell 211 and I Am Frankelda aims to strengthen its structure “at a time of growth, international expansion and development of new alliances with studios and platforms,” it said.

Wills has more than 17 years of experience in the development and production of premium fiction, series, films and original content between Latin America and the US.

Since 2022, she has served as senior creative executive of local originals for emerging Latin America at Amazon MGM Studios, where she led the development of content for markets such as Colombia, Argentina and Chile, working with writers, creators and production teams.

Her appointment comes just two months after Camila Misas returned to Prime Video as director of original content for Mexico, following a brief stint as creative head at Woo Films.

Previously, Wills was head of content at W Studios, a joint venture between Patricio Wills and Univision, and held creative leadership positions at Sony Pictures Television/Teleset.

“I’m joining a team that stands out for its curiosity, creativity and a genuine spirit of collaboration, with excellence as its hallmark in every project. I’m confident that my experience will contribute to driving Woo’s growth, consolidating its presence not only in Mexico and Spain but throughout Latin America,” said Wills.

With operations in Mexico City, Madrid and Los Angeles, Woo Films is undergoing a period of expansion aimed at strengthening its capacity to develop and produce stories with the potential to travel across markets. Its recent productions also include The Two Hemispheres of Lucca and Snakes & Ladders.
