Kids’ superhero cartoon Jade Armor heads to ABC Australia, CBC Canada

Jade Armor debuted on France Télévisions earlier this year

Australian pubcaster the ABC and Canadian counterpart the CBC have picked up action-comedy cartoon Jade Armor in deals with French children’s prodco TeamTo.

The CBC acquisition will see the toon air across French-speaking Canada.

TeamTo, which made the 26×22’ series for pubcaster France Télévisions, said the two deals add to other agreements for the show with WarnerMedia’s Cartoon Network and streamer HBO Max for the US, Latin America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Telling the story of a martial arts-loving superheroine, Jade Armor debuted on France TV this fall and later aired on Super RTL in Germany.

“Having Jade Armor land in so many key global markets suggests we’ve achieved our goal of telling universally appealing stories,” said Corinne Kouper, executive producer at TeamTo.
