Under the terms of the agreement, New York-based Jupiter will have first-look rights on original soccer concepts developed with Kickback, to coincide with this summer’s FIFA World Cup and 2027’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The partnership aligns Jupiter’s production experience with Kickback’s domain knowledge and access across the US soccer ecosystem.

Jupiter specialises in true-crime and factual content, including shows such as Snapped (Oxygen), American detective (ID), Chicano Squad (A&E) and documentary feature Lions of Mesopotamia.

Kickback was founded last year by a collective of entrepreneurs, creatives and media personalities to build a company for the US soccer community.

Patrick Reardon, president of Jupiter Entertainment, said: “Our partnership with Kickback brings unmatched credibility, insight and access, enabling us to deliver authentic content as the country prepares to host the world’s largest-ever sporting event.”

John Parker, CEO of Kickback, said: “This partnership with Jupiter establishes an even more ambitious collaboration for Kickback, that pairs our unparalleled authenticity and access with Jupiter’s premium storytelling capabilities, positioning this partnership to galvanise American soccer’s fandom through these two massive years.”
