Italy’s Rai picks up dramas from Germany’s Beta Film

Period drama Mozart Mozart

NEWS BRIEF: Italian public broadcaster Rai has acquired three female-led drama series from German distributor Beta Film ahead of next week’s Mipcom in Cannes.

The package comprises veterinary drama Barton Vet (12×60’), in which Dr Kate Barton and her family-run team save animals in the countryside; French thriller A Guilty Affair (4×60’), about a high-school principal desperately searching for her missing daughter; and German period drama Mozart Mozart (6×60’), which centres on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s overlooked sister.
