Italian first for Fox’s Baby

BabyTV is to launch in Italy for the first time this month, adding to the Fox-owned kids channel’s roll-outs in Mexico, the Middle East, India and Ukraine this year.

The ad-free 24/7 channel will debut on Italy’s biggest pay-TV platform, Sky Italia’s Kids Pack, with a localised Italian channel, adding 4.7 million new subscribers, on July 31.

“BabyTV will be joining our 11 channels in Italy and we will be introducing it to audiences via a cross-channel campaign as well as on ground marketing activities,” said Diego Londono, MD of Fox International Channels in Italy. “We are confident that BabyTV will help Sky appeal to more new families and young families.”

BabyTV, Fox International Channels and Sky Italia are all owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.
