India’s Disney+ Hotstar to live-stream ‘biggest ever’ Coldplay gig

NEWS BRIEF: India’s Disney+ Hotstar will live-stream the forthcoming Coldplay concert in the city of Ahmedabad on January 26, in what will be the British band’s biggest stadium show to date when they perform to an expected 100,000 fans.

Coldplay will perform at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Republic Day, a national holiday in India. Sanjog Gupta, CEO of JioStar, which was formed following the merger of Viacom 18 and Disney Star, said the live stream reflects its commitment to bringing “iconic” cultural experiences to audiences across India.
