Hulu in the US and Disney+ in EMEA have acquired Australian streamer Stan’s thriller series Watching You.

Produced by ITV Studios (ITVS)-owned Lingo Pictures, Watching You is based on JP Pomare’s novel The Last Guests. The plot follows a woman who, after a one-night stand in a friend’s rental property, is horrified to discover her affair has been captured by hidden cameras.

The six-part series was adapted by Alexei Mizin and Ryan van Dijk, produced by Lingo Pictures’ creative director Jason Stephens and Bree-Anne Sykes, executive produced by Lingo Pictures’ MD Helen Bowden and directed by Peter Salmon and Sian Davies.

Watching You will premiere on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in EMEA, including the UK, on February 20. ITVS distributes the series internationally.

The deal with Hulu was part of a package of scripted and unscripted shows acquired from ITVS. Other scripted series are Malpractice (World Productions), Agatha Christie’s Marple, Agatha Christie’s Poirot and murder mystery Sparkling Cyanide (Company Pictures).

In unscripted, Hulu has renewed Love Island UK and Love Island Australia, Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

The platform has also renewed its library from Vice, comprising both seasons of Dark Side of Comedy, Dark Side of the 2000s, six seasons of Dark Side of the Ring and four seasons of F*ck, That’s Delicious. Additionally, Hulu has picked up Dark Side of the Cage.
