Hopster, which arrived in the UK in 2013 and has since expanded into more than 100 countries, is now available stateside via mobile, tablet and connected TV for US$4.99 a month.

The app will initially launch exclusively on Apple’s iOS and tvOS platforms in the US. It underwent a design change to make it easier for children to find their favourite series and games prior to its launch in the country this month.

Its US catalogue includes properties such as Reading Rainbow with LeVar Burton, Monster Math Squad, Franny’s Feet, Super Simple Songs and Caspar Babypants, alongside educational games.

“Rather than rush in, we’ve taken the time to learn from our first phase of international expansion. Now, with over one million installs to date, we’ve made sure that Hopster’s really ready for the US,” said Hopster founder and CEO Nick Walters.
