HelloYou.TV to debut UK comedy FAST channel as Real Madrid TV expands

MIPCOM: Nordic FAST and connected TV platform HelloYou.TV is launching a 24/7 UK comedy channel called BritCom Fun in the Nordic and Benelux markets and will set up a new movie offering and expand Real Madrid TV’s footprint this week.

HelloYou.TV is the free, ad-supported channel service owned by Sweden’s Razmooz Media. It distributes channels in the Nordics, Benelux, German-speaking Europe, Spain, the UK, Brazil, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region.

Its channels include Western movie-themed Western Bound and documentary service Iconic, developed with US distributor Osmosis Global. The platform said its portfolio also includes more than 2,500 hours of live sport, with channels such as Play TV, Real Madrid TV, W-Sport, Super Sport 1 and Archery Channel.

BritCom Fun will launch in November and will join new channel Star Movies, which the company said is also coming to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Holland and Belgium this week.

Additionally, HelloYou plans to extend Real Madrid TV into more international markets. On Wednesday it will launch the football-themed channel with Samsung TV Plus in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Real Madrid TV is already available in the Nordics, Brazil and Canada, but will extend further in the coming weeks with launches in US, Australia and New Zealand, a HelloYou exec told C21. Real Madrid TV is supplied through partner DiceVerse.

“We are particularly excited about the international growth of Real Madrid TV, while also bringing new, locally relevant channel concepts such as BritCom Fun to the market,” said Ramon Zwartkruis, chairman and founder of HelloYou.TV.

The company is aiming to reach 200 million screens by the end of the year. It said it wants to meet content owners, platforms and distributors at Mipcom this week to acquire content and expand its international channel portfolio.
