Hairy Biker Si King launches YouTube channel with Magnetic North, Aurora Media

British television presenter and broadcaster Si King, formerly of presenter duo The Hairy Bikers, has launched his own YouTube channel.

UK indie Magnetic North Productions and multinational prodco Aurora Media are working on the launch of the channel, which will see King continue to make the content he is known for – creating recipes and travel content in the UK and abroad – whilst also bringing in guests.

King’s first solo cookery book, Proper Home Cooking, launches on October 8.

For Magnetic North productions, the channel signals its wider ambition to produce original content with and without King, in both digital and broadcast. Magnetic North aims to expand beyond the UK and has already established a base in northern France.

“We’ve been developing Si’s digital plans for some time because we wanted to create a space where we could make the kind of content Si genuinely loves and give him a direct relationship with his audience. We’ve built a strong slate of original films for launch, but the ambition goes much further than that,” says François Gandolfi, co-director of Magnetic North Productions.
