Fred Media rejigs senior team with Amazon MGM exec joining to run APAC sales

Australian distributor Fred Media, part of the WTFN Group, has restructured its team and appointed new content sales executive Jamie I as Asia Pacific sales manager.

The appointment follows the departure of sales exec Jimmy Elkington, who is stepping down after eight years with the company. He joined Fred in 2018 and was elevated to head of sales for Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, Israel and inflight in June 2024.

I joins Fred Media with over 20 years of media experience, most recently with Amazon MGM, where she served as Asia Pacific VP for MGM International Television Distribution for four years. She has also held senior sales roles at ABC Commercial and at Red Arrow International, based in Hong Kong.

In further changes, long-term Fred executive Anna Wooley has been promoted to the new role of acquisitions and FAST lead, acquiring content for linear sales by the Fred team and for Radar, WTFN’s digital distribution business. She previously worked across operations and marketing at Fred Media.

The management reshuffles follow the loss in February of WTFN/Fred executive stalwart Roger Vanderspikken, who stepped down as head of operations and acquisitions after nearly 13 years with the group.

WTFN chief commercial officer Derek Dyson said distribution remained core to the group’s business.

“Since we launched our Total Distribution strategy, creatively maximising content rights across all platforms and channels, we have bucked the trend and seen three years of growth, powered by Radar’s rapid evolution, a growing FAST business and strong results from linear sales,” he said.

“With new team members and new roles in place and some exciting developments ahead, we expect 2026 to be another strong year.”
