Fox Entertainment’s distribution arm Fox Entertainment Global (FEG) is staffing up with a trio of appointments overseeing sales in various regions including the US, Latin America, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Former Beyond Rights, TCB Media Rights and BBC Studios exec Simona Argenti has been appointed senior VP of content sales for the EMEA region. London-based Argenti was most recently at cloud-based software company Salesforce and before that oversaw partnerships, coproductions and pre-sales across the US, UK and France for Beyond Rights.
Nathalie Wogue has been named senior VP of global format. She was most recently an international format strategy consultant for Fox’s in-house unscripted division Fox Alternative Entertainment, working on the international unscripted format fund and helping to develop formats including Beat My Mini-Mes (France/TF1), Celebrity Masterpiece (Thailand/Workpoint), Marriage Market (Germany/ProSieben) and The Big Deal (Ireland/Virgin Media Television). She was also previously head of development at Fremantle France, global VP of formats at IMG Entertainment, chief international officer at Endemol France and president of the joint venture between Endemol and Mark Burnett Productions.
FEG also tapped Roxanne Likely as senior director of content sales for the US and Lat Am. She was formerly the director of content acquisitions at Paramount, where she acquired programming for 15 platforms and channels within the Paramount group. Before that, she spent nine years at Miramax Films.
Both Wogue and Likely will be based at FEG’s LA headquarters while Argenti will remain in London.
The appointments were announced by London-based exec VP of content sales and partnerships David Smyth, who joined FEG in late 2023 after exiting his role as CEO of Beyond Rights following Banijay’s takeover of its parent company, Beyond International.
Argenti, Wogue and Likely join a team that also includes Jody Cipriano, VP of sales for APAC, Australia and New Zealand; Andy Whiteman, sales consultant; and Brook Peters, senior VP of Neshama Releasing, which oversees the distribution of FEG titles in Canada.
The appointments come ahead of the London Screenings later this month, with FEG set to highlight series including music guessing series We Are Family, celebrity competition format Beat My Mini-Mes and animated comedy Grimsburg.
Its slate also includes animated comedy Krapopolis, recently renewed single-camera comedy Animal Control and unscripted titles Next Level Chef, I Can Hear Your Voice and Snake Oil. As well, FEG will be shopping thriller, romance, action and holiday movies such as The Caller, Chaos on the Farm, Whispers in the Walls, Making Scents of Love, The Christmas Detective and Our Christmas Mural.
“As FEG grows its portfolio of titles and formats worldwide, we now have our full senior leadership team in place to ensure that content reaches global buyers and audiences everywhere,” said Smyth.
“Accomplished, strategic and respected, Simona, Nathalie and Roxanne are among the best executives in the business and join our sales operation alongside Jody, Andy and Brooke, creating an organisation built on strong, proven relationships around the globe and a constant drive to create mutually beneficial, partner-focused opportunity.”
