FIC expands with eOne’s Fraser

Fox International Channels (FIC) has poached a senior executive from Canadian producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) to head up its global entertainment sales.

Prentiss Fraser will take up the newly created role of senior VP of global entertainment sales at Fox where she will be responsible for all FIC-owned and controlled entertainment sales activity across all windows.

She will handle all television, non-linear and home-entertainment rights for the company’s portfolio of scripted and unscripted series, miniseries and local productions, which include thriller Wayward Pines and the forthcoming Robert Kirkman project Outcast.

Fraser will be based in London and takes up the role in October, prior to this year’s Mipcom, reporting to exec VP of global sports and content sales Simon Thomas.

She is set to leave eOne, where she is senior VP of worldwide sales and acquisitions, at the end of August having joined in 2008 through the company’s acquisition of Oasis International, which established eOne’s international television sales business.

At eOne, Fraser managed a worldwide sales force and acquisition team, overseeing international sales as well as facilitating presales across genres, including scripted, factual and formats and shows including Hell on Wheels, The Walking Dead and Rookie Blue.

Her exit follows news of the departure of eOne’s Peter Emerson. He is being replaced by former Sony Pictures chief Stuart Baxter, who has become president of the firm’s television arm.
