NEWS BRIEF: The former BBC director of news and current affairs James Harding is to deliver the Edinburgh TV Festival (ETVF)’s MacTaggart Lecture in Scotland next month.

The Tortoise Media founder will give a speech which promises to be a “bold and provocative” analysis of a disrupted media industry. This year’s ETVF, running from August 19-22, marks the 50^th anniversary of the James MacTaggart Memorial Lecture, previously presented by industry figures Michaela Coel, Dennis Potter and Louis Theroux.
