Engineering from Above S2 among science, history, wildlife shows from Blue Ant

Engineering from Above examines remarkable structures using aerial images

Canada’s Blue Ant Media has revealed seven new and returning factual originals spanning science, history and wildlife, including a second season of Engineering from Above.

Produced in-house by Blue Ant Studios, the 8×60’ series once again explores some of the world’s man-made marvels from the sky.

Blue Ant Studios also produced three other titles on the slate: How to Survive History (8×60’), which examines how humans have made it out alive from disasters such as volcanic eruptions and plane crashes; Secret Ops: Revealed (8×60’), which tells the hidden stories behind secret missions that shook the world; and Disasters from Above.

In the natural history space are Big Cats, Nine Lives (3×60’, WildBear Entertainment), Legion of the Shark (3×60’, WildBear Entertainment) and one-off special Deep in the Heart 2: Texas Rivers (1×90’, Fin & Fur Films).

All titles will be programmed across Blue Ant’s pay TV and streaming portfolio and are available through distribution arm Blue Ant Rights.

Craig Junner, exec VP and general manager, global channels and streaming at Blue Ant Media, said: “Our integrated channels, rights and streaming model allows content commissioned for both our Canadian networks and global channel brands to move across platforms and territories, extending its reach through our owned services and international licensing.”
