Stockholm-based scripted prodco Dramacorp has appointed an exec from Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group)-owned Nice Drama as creative director and executive producer.

Henrik Jansson-Schweizer’s move to Dramacorp reunites him with its founder Patrick Nebout, with whom he set up Nice Drama a decade ago.

During their partnership at Nice, the duo created a number of scripted projects, including feature film The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared and high-concept Swedish/French thriller series Midnight Sun, the first French-Swedish coproduction.

In a role similar to the one he will be assuming at Dramacorp, Jansson-Schweizer also worked on numerous other notable dramas for Nice, including Swedish pubcaster SVT’s Thicker than Water and original crime series Hassel for streamer Viaplay.

Nebout launched Dramacorp in 2016 as a joint venture with Jan Mojto’s Beta Film. He has since developed a slate of premium dramas including thriller The Head, coproduced with Spain’s Mediapro; English-language series Rare, coproduced with Canada’s Bron Studios and Paris-based Isolani Pictures; and young-adult supernatural show Cryptid for Viaplay.

“After 10 great years at Nice Drama, it feels the right time to reunite with Patrick and take part in the Dramacorp adventure,” said Jansson-Schweizer.

“As always, when Patrick and I get together, we have extremely high ambitions. With Patrick’s international knowhow and sense for the market’s zeitgeist, I truly believe there’s no limit to what we can achieve.”
