DR in Denmark orders first local version of South Shore travel format Worlds Apart

Worlds Apart debuted on Channel 4 in the UK

Danish public broadcaster DR and ITV Studios (ITVS) Denmark are in production on a local version of ITVS-backed South Shore’s travel reality competition format Worlds Apart.

Worlds Apart follows teens who have never left their home country after they are paired with adults who think their travelling days are behind them.

Together, they embark on a life-changing journey across a new country, navigating a high-stakes treasure hunt through vibrant cities.

The format, which is distributed internationally by ITVS, launched on Channel 4 in the UK last year. The Danish version marks the first international remake of the show, while the finished tape of the UK version has also been sold into 42 territories to date.
