Jeff Apploff is the president and CEO of Los Angeles-based Apploff Entertainment, behind series including Fox’s Don’t Forget the Lyrics, Boom!, Beat Shazam and a string of others.

As a creator, exec producer and showrunner his other credits include NBC’s version of BBC gameshow The Wheel and now a new gameshow for CBS called Lotería Loca, based on the Latin game of chance lotería.

Hosted and exec produced by Jaime Camil, the series is produced by Warner Bros Unscripted Television, Warner Horizon and Apploff. The exec spoke to Clive Whittingham about the show, the impact of the US writers and actors’ strikes, and why he’s not afraid of AI.
