Disney+ pilots reboot of The Mickey Mouse Club with Fulwell Entertainment

Club Mickey Mouse launched on social media in 2017

Disney+ is piloting a reboot of classic kids’ show The Mickey Mouse Club, which previously helped launch the careers of Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.

Created by Walt Disney, the variety show aired intermittently from 1955 to 1996 in the US and briefly returned to social media in 2017 with Club Mickey Mouse.

It is now being piloted for a full reboot, with a new cohort of youngsters on board including Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter and Brooklynn Pitts, as well as Erianthe Akaata, Scarlett London Diviney and Michael Cash. The news was first reported by Deadline.

Production on the pilot begins this month in LA with Fulwell Entertainment. The executive producers are Ben Winston, Ashley Edens, Emma Conway and Dave Piendak.
