Disney picks up Turkish drama duo from Eccho Rights

NEWS BRIEF: Scandinavia-based distributor Eccho Rights licensed two Turkish drama series to The Walt Disney Company, with Golden Boy heading to Star Life in Portugal and My Home My Destiny to Disney+ across the MENA region.

Golden Boy was originally produced as Yalı Çapkını by OGM Pictures for Star TV and follows a reckless young heir whose life is turned upside down by an arranged marriage. My Home My Destiny (originally Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir) is produced by OGM Pictures for TV8. The agreements build on the partnership between Eccho Rights and Disney established earlier this year when Star Life Portugal acquired romantic comedies Everywhere I Go and My Sweet Lie.
