DeAPlaneta, Planeta Junior join forces to become DeAPlaneta Entertainment

Spain-based Planeta/De Agostini’s DeAPlaneta and Planeta Junior brands have joined up to become DeAPlaneta Entertainment.

The merger of the two companies is part of a strategic reorganisation that aims to consolidate brands’ leadership in the entertainment segment, make their business models more efficient and become more agile.

DeAPlaneta Entertainment will be focused on the production and distribution of three strategic areas: fiction, children and family, and interactive products.

DeAPlaneta Entertainment manages and produces kids’ series including Miraculous Ladybug, Milo, Heidi and Maya the Bee, and has released films including the Saw saga, The King’s Speech and 12 Years a Slave.

“The entertainment industry is a growing and constantly changing sector. DeAPlaneta Entertainment is a company prepared to compete in international markets with a global concept,” said Ignacio Segura, CEO of DeAPlaneta Entertaiment.
