Curtain up on Aussie Playhouse Disney

Foxtel Digital and Walt Disney Television have launched the Playhouse Disney Channel in Australia, its 10th new market in the Asia-Pacific region.

The preschool channel will officially launch on Foxtel Digital on December 5 with programming including JoJo’s Circus, Higglytown Heroes, The Book of Pooh and the Australian premiere of Disney’s Little Einsteins. More established favourites, such as Bear in the Big Blue House, The Wiggles and Bob the Builder, will also screen daily.

The Playhouse Disney brand began on Disney Channel Australia as a learning-based programming block. The latest launch comes as Foxtel celebrates its 10th birthday.

Playhouse Disney Channel is also available in the UK, Spain, Italy and France.
